Nepal Army Club claimed overall team champion

The 15th senior and 9th junior ITF Taekwon-Do Championships 2016 concluded on 7th May 2016 in Nuwakot city of Nepal. Nepal Army claimed the overall team champion with 13 gold medals. Likewise, Nepal Armed police forces clubs with 4 gold medals and won the second . Mr. Deny Lama from organizer and Nishma Basyal from Army Club were declared as the best players.
In the opening ceremony of the Championships, Mr.Bahadur Singh Lama, member of parliament inaugurated the Championships with lifting the light as the chief guest and also addressed his valuable speech in the ceremony. Mr. Anjan Dhamala, President of Nepal ITF, Mr. Hari Krishna Shrestha, Chairman of organizing committee and Chief District Officer of Nuwakot addressed their blessings to the Championships.
The Political leaders from Nuwakot District, Nepal ITF's leaders and members, Chief of Security forces, journalist, business men and thousand peoples attended with keenly interest. 160 competitors participated in the Championships. The events of Sparring, Pattern, were included for the medals consisting of 30 gold, 30 silver and 60 bronze.
The Championships were organized by Nepal International Taekwon-Do Federation (Nepal ITF) and managed by Nuwakot District ITF Taekwon-Do Association (Nuwakot ITF) under the presidency of Mr. Hari krishna Shrestha (Chairman of organizing committee). District Sport development committee president welcomed all invited guests and participants. Mr. Basu Dev Bhatta, Treasurer of Nepal ITF announced overall program. Championships were held for 2 days starting from 6th May 2016. National TV, News papers, FM Radio and Local Medias have totally focused and covered the news of Championships.
